Preview Roundups
November 07, 2018
Ohio St. at Cincinnati 6:00 PM ET
For the first time since Jan. 3, 1920, Ohio State will travel to Cincinnati to play the Bearcats on Wednesday night in the first game at the newly refurbished Fifth Third Arena. The season opener for both teams will be the first meeting in a regular-season game since 1921.
Bethune-Cookman at DePaul 7:30 PM ET
After briefly flirting with the NBA draft, Max Strus is back to try to lead DePaul out of the doldrums beginning with Wednesday's non-conference game against visiting Bethune-Cookman. Strus enjoyed a solid first season in Division I but is now looking for more from himself and the Blue Demons, who will likely have their hands full with the Wildcats.
Cal. State - Bakersfield at Texas Christian 9:00 PM ET
An experienced backcourt will lead No. 21 TCU on Wednesday when it hosts Cal State Bakersfield in the first of six home games to open the new season. The big question - outside of 6-2 guard Jaylen Fisher's health - is how the bigs will play.
Houston Baptist at Arizona 9:00 PM ET
Following months of off-court distractions, Arizona returns to action Wednesday for its season opener against visiting Houston Baptist. The Wildcats are replacing all five starters and remain part of the FBI investigation into NCAA basketball, but coach Sean Miller may still have enough pieces in place to contend in the Pac-12.
Savannah State at Texas A&M 9:30 PM ET
Texas A&M has reached the Sweet 16 in two of the last three seasons and for the Aggies to accomplish that feat again in 2018-19, they will have to do it with a different type of lineup. Coach Billy Kennedy will unveil a primarily smaller and quicker group with only two key returnees when Texas A&M hosts Savannah State on Wednesday night in the season opener for both teams.
