Ducks 3, Flames 2: Teemu Selanne scored the first goal of his final NHL season as host Anaheim extended its winning streak to five games.

Dustin Penner and Kyle Palmieri also tallied for the Ducks, who have won 17 consecutive home meetings with the Flames. Viktor Fasth made 33 saves as Anaheim improved to 3-0-0 on its five-game homestand.

With the Ducks clinging to a 2-1 lead late in the second period, Jakob Silfverberg made a one-handed tap pass to send Selanne in on a short breakaway, and the "Finnish Flash" beat Joey MacDonald low to the glove side for his 676th career goal. It proved to be the game-winner as Jiri Hudler deflected defenseman Kris Russell's shot past Fasth at 4:15 of the third to get Calgary within 3-2.

Lee Stempniak scored a short-handed goal and MacDonald stopped 19 shots for the Flames, who suffered their first regulation loss of the season (3-1-2). Rookie Sean Monahan had his career-opening five-game point streak snapped as Calgary began a five-game road trip.

Penner opened the scoring at 3:27 of the first period and Palmieri doubled Anaheim's lead less than 10 minutes later with a shot from the high slot that beat MacDonald to the stick side. Stempniak halved the deficit with 3:29 left in the session, slipping the puck between Fasth's pads on a breakaway.
