David Garrard's desperation pass for Mike Sims-Walker on the last play of the game deflected to Mike Thomas, who pulled it in for a 50-yard touchdown to lift the Jacksonville Jaguars to a 31-24 home victory over the Houston Texans on Sunday.

Houston's Glover Quin seemed to have broken up Garrard's heave to the end zone, but he batted it right to Thomas, who caught it at the 1-yard line and walked into the end zone.

The Jaguars' winning drive started at their own 34 with 8 seconds left after Houston tight end Joel Dreessen fumbled to cost the Texans a chance to win it with a field goal attempt.

Maurice Jones-Drew rushed for 100 yards on 24 carries and scored touchdowns of 3 and 9 yards in the first half for the Jaguars (5-4).

Garrard went 24 of 31 for 342 yards and threw a pair of fourth-quarter touchdowns. He also hooked up with backup tight end Zach Miller for a 52-yard touchdown pass with 6:57 left.

Thomas finished with eight catches for 149 yards.

Houston's Matt Schaub threw for 314 yards on 22 of 32 passing with two touchdowns and no interceptions. Andre Johnson caught nine passes for 146 yards and a touchdown and Kevin Walter had six catches for 90 yards and a score.

Arian Foster added 56 rushing yards on 15 carries and scored a 1-yard touchdown for the Texans (4-5).
