Missouri 33, Kentucky 10: Kendial Lawrence ran for 108 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Tigers to a homecoming win over the Wildcats.
Lawrence's efforts steadied an otherwise sloppy performance for Missouri, which got very little out of its passing attack and won its first Southeastern Conference game despite three turnovers.
Corbin Berkstresser was picked twice and struggled under center for the Tigers (4-4, 1-4 SEC) before being replaced by junior James Franklin, who had missed two straight games after an MCL sprain against Vanderbilt. Berkstresser was 10-of-18 for 71 yards, while Franklin was 6-of-9 for only 16 yards.
Raymond Sanders had 11 carries for 64 yards and a touchdown for the Wildcats (1-8, 0-6 SEC), who also had three turnovers - including a fumble by Sanders in the fourth quarter that was returned 13 yards by E.J. Gaines for the game's final score.
Kentucky featured a pair of quarterbacks as well with Jalen Whitlow sharing time with fellow freshman Patrick Towles. Whitlow was 9-of-18 for 76 yards, while Towles completed one of his four passes for two yards.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Missouri has won all three meetings with Kentucky. … A promising opening drive for the Wildcats was thwarted when Jonathan George fumbled deep in Tigers' territory, marking the 26th straight game for Missouri with at least one takeaway. … The Tigers are 8-2 following a loss since 2010.
