No. 10 Oklahoma 63, No. 15 Texas 21: Backup quarterback Blake Bell rushed for four first-half touchdowns to power the Sooners to a dominating romp in the annual Red River Rivalry in Dallas.
Bell, the 6-foot-6, 255-pound Tim Tebow clone known as the "Belldozer," capped four scoring drives with an 8-yard run and three 1-yard plunges as Oklahoma (4-1, 2-1 Big 12) jumped out to a stunning 36-2 halftime lead en route to its third consecutive win in the series.
Damien Williams rushed for a career-high 167 yards on 22 carries, including a 95-yard first-quarter TD, and Landry Jones threw for 307 yards and two touchdowns to send Texas (4-2, 1-2) to its second straight defeat after opening the season with four victories.
The Sooners rolled up 677 yards of offense and received a suffocating performance from their defense, holding the Longhorns without a first down until the 9:30 mark of the second quarter and forcing six three-and-outs along with two interceptions and a safety in the first half alone.
A pair of 1-yard runs by Bell in a three-minute span of the second quarter pushed Oklahoma's lead to 27-2 before Texas had earned a first down. Longhorns QB David Ash was 13-for-29 for 113 yards with two interceptions and a fumble before exiting with an injured wrist in the fourth.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Bell became the second player in school history to rush for four touchdowns twice, joining Steve Owens and Billy Sims. ... Texas' only points of the first half came when Quandre Diggs returned a blocked extra-point attempt and its first TD came on a 28-yard interception return by Carrington Byndom early in the third quarter. ... Jones broke Steve Davis' record for the most wins in school history with his 33rd and WR Kenny Stills became the sixth Oklahoma player to surpass 2,000 yards receiving in a career. ... Longhorns DT Brandon Moore was strapped to a backboard and taken to a hospital after he suffered a neck injury in the third quarter, but a school spokesman said he had movement.
