Blake Bell ran for two first-half touchdowns, and No. 11 Oklahoma overwhelmed visiting Iowa State defensively in a 26-6 victory on Saturday.

The Sooners (9-2, 6-2 Big 12) will close the regular season at rival Oklahoma State next weekend trying to gain a share of the Big 12 South title.

Iowa State (6-5, 3-5 Big 12), which was coming off a monumental upset of the Cowboys last Friday, trailed 23-6 at halftime and couldn’t muster anything offensively after the break.

Bell capped two second-quarter drives with short touchdowns that gave Oklahoma a commanding early lead.

With 8:12 left in the first half, Bell finished off a 10-play, 79-yard drive with a 3-yard touchdown burst. Five minutes later, Bell pounded it in from one yard out to cap a 6-play, 68-yard scoring drive and give the Sooners a 17-6 lead.

Oklahoma’s Landry Jones, normally one of the most efficient quarterbacks in the nation, finished what could be his last game at Memorial Stadium with zero touchdowns and two interceptions. Jones is a redshirt junior, but most are expecting him to declare for the NFL draft.

Iowa State actually led 6-3 early in the game when Jared Barnett found Albert Gary for a 10-yard score in the first quarter.

The Cyclones fell to the Sooners for the 13th straight time, and 12 of those losses have come by double digits.
