Arizona State forced five turnovers and Brock Osweiler threw three touchdown passes as the No. 24 Sun Devils remained undefeated in the Pac-12 South with a 35-14 victory over host Utah on Saturday.

Arizona State (5-1, 3-0), which scored the final 25 points, has 14 takeaways in its last three games and 18 for the season, heading into next week’s showdown at No. 9 Oregon. The Sun Devils had 17 in 2010.

Utah (2-3, 0-3) lost its second straight at home after winning 23 of its previous 24. The Utes, who joined the Pac-12 season, also had five turnovers in their 31-14 loss to Washington last week.

Osweiler, at 6 feet 8 the tallest quarterback among FBS teams, was 26-of-42 for 310 yards. His 14-yard strike to Mike Willie and two-point conversion throw to Aaron Pflugrad gave the Sun Devils a 21-14 lead.

Cameron Marshall’s eighth touchdown – a 4-yard run with 1:17 left in the third quarter – was set up by Utah quarterback Jon Hays’ third interception and put Arizona State in front 28-14.

Willie had seven catches for 98 yards and two touchdowns.

Hays finished 18-of-30 for 197 yards with one touchdown and three interceptions in his first career start at Utah. Hays replaced Jordan Wynn, who is expected to miss 2-to-3 weeks with a left (non-throwing) arm injury.
