Alabama's Trent Richardson and Eddie Lacy set career-highs for rushing yards and the No. 2 Crimson Tide rolled to a 41-0 victory over visiting North Texas on Saturday.
Richardson rushed for 167 yards and three touchdowns, passing his previous career-high of 144 yards set last season against Penn State. Lacy went for 161 yards and two scores to pass his previous high of 111 yards established last season against San Jose State.
It was Richardson's sixth career 100-yard rushing game. The junior has eight touchdowns in three games this season.
North Texas (0-3) has allowed more than 40 points in each of its three games, and the Mean Green has failed to score an offensive touchdown in two of those games.
The Mean Green managed only 169 total yards, marking the 32nd time in Alabama coach Nick Saban's 57-game tenure that the Crimson Tide have held an opponent to less than 300 yards.
North Texas dropped to 3-33 all-time against SEC teams. The Mean Green's last victory over a Southeastern Conference opponent was a 21-14 upset at Tennessee in 1975.
The Crimson Tide, who had 586 total yards, improved to 18-2 in September games under Saban, including 15-0 since 2008.
Alabama has won all four meetings.
