Knile Davis rushed for 110 yards and three touchdowns, Ryan Mallett threw for a touchdown and ran for another, and visiting Arkansas pounded No. 17 South Carolina 41-20 on Saturday.
The 19th-ranked Razorbacks (7-2, 4-2 SEC) rolled up 443 yards of total offense and scored on six of seven possessions to pull away after South Carolina tied it at 7 in the first quarter.
Arkansas expected Mallett to have a big game against South Carolina's porous pass defense -- he did, throwing for 303 yards on 21-of-30 passing with a touchdown and an interception -- but Davis' success was a pleasant surprise for the Razorbacks, as he topped 100 yards for the second time this season.
The Gamecocks managed only 297 total yards, as Arkansas limited freshman running back Marcus Lattimore to 30 yards on 11 carries. South Carolina's Stephen Garcia threw for 162 yards on 14-of-29 passing with a touchdown and two interceptions.
Cobi Hamilton had seven catches for 111 yards and a score for Arkansas, and Alshon Jeffery caught seven passes for 99 yards for South Carolina.
The Gamecocks (6-3, 4-3 SEC) dropped into a tie with Florida for the SEC Eastern Division lead. The teams meet at Florida next Saturday.
