Andrew Luck threw four touchdown passes and ran for another as No. 19 Stanford rolled over Wake Forest 68-24 Saturday night.
Stanford (3-0) put the game away midway through the second quarter. Luck hit Chris Owusu for touchdown of 8 and 35 yards, and Usua Amanam for 12 yards as the Cardinal raced out to a 27-7 lead.
The next time the Cardinal got the ball back Luck raced 52 yards for another score to make it 34-7.
Stanford eventually built a 55-10 lead in the third quarter and scored touchdowns on its first eight possessions. It was the most points the Cardinal had scored since 1968.
Tyler Gaffney had two of Stanford’s six rushing touchdowns. He had 76 yards on seven carries.
Tanner Price led Wake Forest (2-1) with 70 yards rushing on 17 carries and a touchdown.
Luck finished 17-of-23 for 209 yards.
