Robert Woods returned a kickoff 97 yards for a touchdown in the third quarter and Matt Barkley passed for two scores, leading Southern California to a 32-21 win at Minnesota on Saturday.

Woods' return came seconds after Minnesota took a 14-13 lead on Adam Weber's 31-yard touchdown pass to Da'Jon McKnight.

Woods stunned the Gophers and the home crowd by taking the kickoff all the way back to put USC (3-0) ahead for good.

Barkley completed 16-of-25 passes for 191 yards, with two touchdowns and two interceptions. The Trojans gained 215 yards on the ground. Allen Bradford ran for 129 yards and a touchdown on 13 carries.

Weber completed 15-of-29 passes, with two touchdowns and two interceptions. The Gophers (1-2) gained only 79 yards rushing.

Minnesota, which lost at home to FCS opponent South Dakota last week, took a 7-0 lead on DeLeon Eskridge's 1-yard run with 7:30 left in the first quarter. Marc Tyler's 3-yard run tied the game late in the first.

Barkley's 53-yard scoring pass to Ronald Johnson put Southern Cal ahead, but a missed two-point conversion left the score 13-7 at halftime.
