Robert Marve threw two touchdown passes to lead Purdue past visiting Ball State, 24-13 Saturday.
Both of Marve's touchdown passes came in the first quarter. He connected with O.J. Ross for a 36-yard touchdown just five minutes into the game. Later in the first quarter, Marvre connected with Corez Smith give the Boilermakers (2-1) an early 14-0 lead.
Ball State (1-2) got back into the game early in the second half on a 1-yard touchdown run by MiQuale Lewis.
Quarterback Rob Henry replaced Marve in the fourth quarter and connected with Smith on a 76-yard touchdown to open the fourth. Carson Wiggins tacked on a 23-yard field with 6:56 to play to seal the game for the Boilermakers.
