Freshman Marcus Lattimore ran for 182 yards and two touchdowns, leading No. 25 South Carolina to a 17-6 victory against No. 19 Georgia in a key SEC East matchup Saturday at Williams-Brice Stadium in Columbia, S.C.

Lattimore gave the Gamecocks (2-0) a 14-3 halftime lead with a pair of 2-yard touchdown runs. He ran the ball eight times for 56 yards on the Gamecocks' final scoring drive, setting up Spencer Lanning's 24-yard field goal with 1:12 left to seal South Carolina's first home win against Georgia (1-1) since 2000.

South Carolina quarterback Stephen Garcia completed 12-of-17 passes for 165 yards, connecting with Alshon Jeffery seven times for 103 yards.

Redshirt freshman quarterback Aaron Murray threw for 192 yards on 14-of-21 passing for Georgia, which played without star receiver A.J. Green, who learned from the NCAA on Wednesday he must sit out four games for selling a game-used jersey to an individual meeting the NCAA's definition of an agent.

Georgia's Washaun Ealey rushed for 75 yards on 19 carries, but he also had a key fumble on the South Carolina 5-yard line with the Bulldogs trailing 14-6 late in the third quarter.
