Stampeders 17, Redblacks 16: Rene Paredes booted five field goals, including the winner from 31 yards out on the final play of the game, as visiting Calgary rallied to beat Ottawa.

Nick Arbuckle completed 30-of-37 passes for 370 yards and converted both of his attempts on the final drive as the Stampeders (4-2) won without the benefit of a touchdown to even the season series. Markeith Ambles (five catches, 79 yards), Reggie Begelton (seven, 78) and Eric Rogers (seven, 71) all contributed while Ka'Deem Carey rushed for 70 yards before leaving with a leg injury in the first half.

Jonathon Jennings was 15-of-18 for 125 yards and a touchdown but was intercepted twice while Brad Sinopoli hauled in seven passes for 76 yards and a score for the Redblacks (2-4), who have lost four in a row for the first time since 2014. Lewis Ward made all three of his field-goal attempts and John Crockett gained 84 yards on the ground for Ottawa, which got eight tackles and a fumble recovery from linebacker Avery Williams.

Ward kicked a 38-yard field goal to open the scoring after DeVonte Dedmon returned the opening kickoff 58 yards, but Paredes responded by connecting from 47 and 23 yards out to give the Stampeders a 6-3 lead. Ward tied it with a 13-yarder late in the first quarter and made another from 53 yards away with 3:47 left in the half before Paredes tied the game at 9-9 with a 12-yard conversion.

Paredes capped a 10-play drive with a 44-yard field goal late in the third quarter to give Calgary a 12-9 advantage, but Jennings found Sinopoli for a 23-yard touchdown 1:22 into the final period as the Redblacks moved back in front. Ottawa's Sherrod Baltimore recovered a fumble by Richard Sindani just short of the end zone with less than two minutes remaining and the Redblacks decided to concede a safety before the Stampeders drove 36 yards to set up the winning kick.
