Ricky Collins caught four passes for 78 yards and Kenny Stafford gained 58 yards on five receptions to lead the Eskimos, who recorded three sacks.

Whyte and Montreal's Boris Bede traded short field goals in the second quarter before the former capped the final drive of the first half with a 34-yarder to pull Edmonton within 10-6.

Whyte converted a 48-yard attempt on the first drive of the second half to cut the deficit to one point, but the Alouettes responded on their first possession as Adams connected with Jake Weineke on a 5-yard scoring strike. After a brief weather delay, Montreal had an interception wiped out due to a penalty and Bede extended the lead to 20-9 with a 21-yard field goal with 9:50 remaining before the Alouettes' defence sealed the win.
