Eskimos 48, Stampeders 42: Mike Reilly threw for three touchdowns and ran for three more as Edmonton held on to defeat visiting Calgary in a shootout.

Reilly completed 30-of-44 passes for 397 yards and rushed for a team-high 43 as the Eskimos (7-5) tied Saskatchewan for second place in the West Division with 14 points. Duke Williams hauled in seven passes for 172 yards and a touchdown while Bryant Mitchell made seven catches for 86 yards for Edmonton, which had lost three of its previous four contests.

Bo Levi Mitchell was 25-of-46 for a season-high 491 yards and four touchdowns, including a pair to running back Romar Morris, but threw three interceptions as the Stampeders (9-2) lost for the second time in four games after a 7-0 start. Morris, who ran for 95 yards and two more scores, caught five passes for 62 yards while Reginald Begelton (seven catches, 153 yards) and DaVaris Daniels (four, 116, TD) also had big nights for Calgary.

Reilly ran 2 yards for a touchdown before adding scoring strikes of 29 yards to Williams and four to Vidal Hazelton to help the Eskimos build a 21-7 lead with 5:52 left in the first quarter. Reilly's 1-yard touchdown run with 1:35 remaining in the half pushed the lead to 17 points before Mitchell, who connected with Daniels for a 77-yard score in the opening quarter, hit Marken Michel for a 41-yard TD in the final minute to close the gap to 31-21 at intermission.

Morris broke up the middle for a 75-yard touchdown early in the third quarter to cut Calgary's deficit to 34-28, but Reilly answered with his third short TD run and connected with Kenny Stafford for a 6-yard scoring strike to give Edmonton a 48-28 lead going into the final period. Mitchell threw 32- and 8-yard touchdown passes to Morris to get his team within 48-42 with 2:16 remaining, but the Stampeders could not cash in on their final drive.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Stafford finished with five catches for 67 yards and Hazelton hauled in four passes for 24 yards. … Calgary WR Kamar Jorden (55 catches, 944 yards) will miss the rest of the season with a knee injury while DB Ciante Evans (leg) and RB Don Jackson (lower body) were scratched from the lineup on Saturday. … Edmonton WR Derel Walker (875 receiving yards, eight TDs) will miss 6-to-8 weeks with a leg injury. … Mitchell moved past Joe Paopao (22,474) and Tom Wilkinson (22,579) for 26th place on the CFL's all-time passing yardage list with 22,709.
