Tiger-Cats 42, Argonauts 28: Jeremiah Masoli threw for 385 yards and three touchdowns as host Hamilton scored 21 unanswered points en route to its fifth straight win over Toronto in the Labour Day Classic.

Masoli completed 26-of-35 passes while Alex Green rushed for 115 yards and a pair of touchdowns for the Tiger-Cats (5-5), who have won seven of their last eight home meetings with Toronto. Brandon Banks hauled in nine passes for 135 yards and two scores while Luke Tasker had eight receptions for 143 yards and a TD as Hamilton moved within two points of East Division-leading Ottawa.

McLeod Bethel-Thompson was 14-of-29 for 163 yards but finished without a touchdown for the Argonauts (3-7), who haven't tasted victory in the Labour Day Classic since 2012. Short-yardage quarterback James Franklin rushed for a pair of TDs and added another through the air while James Wilder Jr. accounted for 89 yards from scrimmage for Toronto, which has dropped back-to-back contests.

Green rumbled six yards for a touchdown and Tasker turned a short pass into a 56-yard TD to give Hamilton a 14-0 lead after one quarter. Franklin sneaked into the end zone from 1 yard out and threw a 3-yard scoring pass to guard Ryan Bomben, who had lined up as a tight end, to level matters before Banks made a 19-yard TD catch in double coverage with eight seconds left in the second quarter to put the Tiger-Cats back in front 21-14.

Alden Darby returned a fumble 100 yards for a touchdown and Franklin rushed for a 2-yard TD as the Argonauts took their first lead at 28-21 before Lirim Hajrullahu converted field goals of 52 and 36 yards to pull Hamilton within one point early in the fourth quarter. Green rushed for a 19-yard score to help put the Tiger-Cats ahead 35-28 before Masoli scrambled to his left and fired a 27-yard touchdown strike to Banks with 4:17 remaining to put the finishing touch on another Labour Day victory.
