Eskimos 16, Argonauts 15: Mike Reilly threw for 258 yards and a pair of touchdowns as host Edmonton held off Toronto to salvage a split in the home-and-home set.
Reilly went 21-of-36 through the air and added 55 rushing yards for the Eskimos (3-2), who avenged a 20-17 loss to Toronto in Week 4. D'haquille 'Duke' Williams hauled in nine passes for 123 yards and a touchdown while Jordan Robinson added a TD catch for Edmonton, which committed nine penalties for 94 yards.
James Franklin completed 26-of-36 passes for 296 yards for the Argonauts (1-3), who haven't won a game in Edmonton since 2013. James Wilder Jr. accounted for 88 total yards and a touchdown while S.J. Green caught 10 passes for 131 yards for Toronto.
T.J. Heath picked off a pass by Reilly, which led to a 42-yard field goal from Ronnie Pfeffer to put Toronto ahead 3-0 in a low-scoring first quarter. Robinson turned a short pass into a 30-yard touchdown - the first of his CFL career - to help Edmonton take an 8-3 lead into halftime.
Reilly fired an 11-yard touchdown pass to Williams to extend the Eskimos' advantage to 11 points before Wilder powered his way into the end zone from 3 yards out and Franklin found a wide-open Green for the two-point conversion on the last play of the third quarter to pull Toronto within 15-12. After a punt single by Hugh O'Neill, Pfeffer kicked a 28-yard field goal to close the gap to one point with 4:15 to go in the fourth, but Edmonton picked up enough first downs to run out the clock and avoid the season sweep.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Williams extended his streak of 100-yard receiving games to four in a row. … Edmonton RB C.J. Gable rushed for 51 yards on 10 carries before he was knocked unconscious late in the fourth quarter. … Green moved past Jeff Boyd (8,322) for 36th place on the CFL's all-time receiving yards list.
