Tiger-Cats 38, Eskimos 21: Jeremiah Masoli threw for 332 yards and three touchdowns as visiting Hamilton cruised past Edmonton for its first win of the season.

Masoli went 19-of-29 while Mercer Timmis added 133 rushing yards and a pair of touchdowns for the Tiger-Cats, who had dropped 13 of their previous 15 regular-season games against West Division opponents. Brandon Banks hauled in six passes for 117 yards and a TD while Luke Tasker had five receptions for 103 yards and two touchdowns for Hamilton.

Mike Reilly completed 20-of-30 passes for 286 yards and two touchdowns to go along with a rushing score for the Eskimos, who fell to 1-1 on the year. D'haquille Williams made four catches for 105 yards and a touchdown while Derel Walker added six receptions for 56 yards and a score for Edmonton, which surrendered 521 total yards.

Each team scored on its opening possession as Masoli fired a 15-yard scoring strike to Tasker and Reilly aired out an 88-yard touchdown pass to Williams before Timmis found the end zone from 1-yard out to give Hamilton a 14-7 lead after one quarter. Tasker turned a short pass into a 45-yard touchdown and Lirim Hajrullahu kicked a 44-yard field goal to help the Tiger-Cats surge ahead 24-8 before Reilly found Walker for a 5-yard TD to pull the Eskimos within 24-14 at the half after a missed two-point convert.

Masoli avoided the rush and zipped an 18-yard touchdown pass to Banks on a drive which chewed up almost six minutes as Hamilton pulled ahead 31-14 heading into the fourth quarter. Reilly scored on a 1-yard quarterback sneak after the Tiger-Cats were flagged for pass interference in the end zone to close the gap to 31-21 with 4:24 remaining before Timmis silenced the crowd with a 44-yard touchdown run to clinch the win for Hamilton.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Kickoff was delayed 30 minutes due to inclement weather in the area. … Hamilton WR Terrence Toliver caught four passes for 76 yards in his first game back since tearing his ACL in the opening week of the 2017 season. … Masoli has thrown for 723 yards and six touchdowns in two career games in Edmonton. … The announced attendance at Commonwealth Stadium was 31,334.
