Mike McGuirl scored 12 points in the final 6:05, including three consecutive 3-pointers in a 90-second stretch, to help Kansas State knock off No. 7 Oklahoma 62-57 Tuesday night in Manhattan, Kan.
It was the second straight win for K-State (7-18, 3-13 Big 12) following a 13-game losing streak.
After the Wildcats took a five-point lead with 1:15 remaining, the Sooners chipped away. Austin Reaves pulled OU within 58-57 with 16.1 seconds left with a put-back bucket. After Nijel Pack hit two free throws to give K-State a three-point lead, Reaves missed a long 3-pointer and DaJuan Gordon iced it with two more free throws.
The Sooners have lost seven of the last 11 against the Wildcats and have not won in Manhattan since 2012.
Reaves had 18 of his game-high 25 points for Oklahoma (14-6, 9-5) in the second half. The Sooners got 13 points from De'Vion Harmon. Umoja Gibson had a career-high 11 rebounds.
The Wildcats were led by McGuirl with 19 points. Davion Bradford had 13 points and eight rebounds. Gordon had 11 points and 10 rebounds for the Wildcats.
The Wildcats had lost 15 straight games to ranked opponents.
After giving up the first two points of the second half, the Wildcats went on a 9-0 run to open their biggest lead of the game at 38-31. But the Sooners responded with a 13-2 run to retake the lead.
The first half ended in a 29-29 tie. K-State grabbed its only lead of the half right before intermission. The Wildcats trailed by as many as seven points in the first half, but they never led the Sooners pull away.
Bradford led the Wildcats with nine points and six rebounds, including four on the offensive end.
Oklahoma was led by Harmon with 12 points. Reaves had seven points for the Sooners, but he picked up a pair of fouls on a play just inside the eight-minute mark. He picked up a foul on a drive by Selton Miguel, then picked up a technical foul after voicing his displeasure about the call.
