No. 13 UCLA 60, Georgia 56: Freshman Shabazz Muhammad scored a game-high 21 points in his first career start as the Bruins edged the Bulldogs in the consolation game of the Legends Classic at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center.

Vincent Williams hit a 3-pointer to cut UCLA’s lead to 53-52 with 3:09 left, but Georgia's Marcus Thornton missed two free throws with 44 seconds remaining and the Bruins leading by four.

One of the nation’s top recruits,Muhammad shot 6-for-12 from the field and 8-for-11 from the free throw line for UCLA (4-1). The Bruins went 20-for-30 from the foul line, while Georgia (1-4) reached the charity stripe just 10 times - making six of their shots.

Travis Wear had 10 points and seven rebounds for UCLA, which opened the second half on a 17-5 run after trailing by five at halftime. Kyle Anderson added nine points and nine boards after being held scoreless in Monday’s 78-70 loss to Georgetown.

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope had 16 points and nine rebounds for the Bulldogs, who shot 37.9 percent from the field and 26.1 percent (6-for-23) from beyond the arc. Thornton grabbed a team-high nine boards.

GAME NOTEBOOK: UCLA played without injured forward David Wear (sore back) and guard Tyler Lamb (swollen knee). ... Bruins guard Jordan Adams was held to four points after becoming the first freshman in UCLA history to record at least 20 points in each of his first four collegiate games. ...Nemanja Djurisic, John Cannon and Donte' Williams scored eight points apiece for the Bulldogs.
