Georgia 64, Southern California 56: Kentavious Caldwell-Pope scored 19 of his 25 points after halftime as the host Bulldogs sent the Trojans to their seventh loss in eight games.
Sophomore John Cannon set career highs with 10 points and seven rebounds for Georgia (4-7), which defeated USC for the second straight season. Brandon Morris chipped in 10 points and Charles Mann had nine points and a game-high six assists for the Bulldogs.
Omar Oraby came off the bench to lead the Trojans (4-8) with 14 points and 11 rebounds. Eric Wise contributed 12 points.
After a tight first half, the Bulldogs opened the second on a big run with Caldwell-Pope the key. The sophomore scored 14 points in the first 4:35 of the stanza, and his jumper with 15:25 left gave Georgia a 41-32 lead.
USC clawed to within 47-45 midway through the half but Caldwell-Pope buried a 3-pointer to open up a five-point advantage. The Trojans, who never got closer than three points, went the final 3:02 without a basket in falling short of 60 points for the third time in four games.
GAME NOTEBOOK: The Trojans went more than 20 minutes between made free throws at one point. They finished 7-for-15 from the line. ... Caldwell-Pope was 10-for-14 from the floor. ... USC led by as many as six points late in the first half.
