Minnesota 77, Florida State 68: Joe Coleman scored 16 points and the Golden Gophers held the host Seminoles to 37.9 percent shooting to win in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge.

Minnesota (7-1) led by four points with 9:15 left in the first half before closing the period with a 19-10 run to build a 38-25 advantage at intermission. The Golden Gophers extended their lead to 21 points midway through the second half, and withstood a brief rally that saw Florida State (4-2) pull within 10 points with 5:44 left.

The Seminoles entered the contest ranked 12th in the nation in field-goal percentage (52 percent), but hit just 32 percent of their first-half shots.

Rodney Williams Jr. scored 14 points, Austin Hollins had 13 points and Andre Hollins added 12 points for Minnesota, which shot 47.3 percent from the field. Center Elliott Eliason finished with 10 rebounds.

Terrance Shannon scored 14 points to lead the Seminoles, who saw their four-game winning streak come to an end.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Minnesota has won three in a row since a loss to No. 2 Duke on Thursday. … Golden Gophers sixth-year senior F Trevor Mbakwe, who is recovering from a torn ACL in his knee, scored eight points. He had 19 points with 12 rebounds Saturday against Stanford.
