SETON HALL 73, NO. 8 GEORGETOWN 55: Jordan Theodore scored a season-high 29 points and had four rebounds and five assists as the Pirates upset the Hoyas.
Theodore, who scored 17 points against the Hoyas last year, continued to haunt them. The senior made 8 of 12 from the field, including 5 of 6 from 3-point range, and 8 for 8 from the line, as the Pirates evened their record in the Big East.
Seton Hall (19-9, 8-8) also got 12 points and four rebounds Herb Pope and 10 points each from Fuquan Edwin, who had five assists, and Brandon Mobley, who was 5 for 5 from the field.
The Pirates shot lights out from the field, hitting 58.1 percent overall and 57.1 percent of their 3-pointers.
Georgetown (20-6, 10-5) never got any offensive traction and shot only 37.5 percent. Hollis Thompson had eight points and seven rebounds for the Hoyas.
The game was close for much of the first half and was tied 22-22 with six minutes left, before Seton Hall went on a 13-6 run to close the half with a 35-28 lead.
