Freshman Anthony Davis narrowly missed a triple-double and second-ranked Kentucky started the game with a 13-2 run, beating Arkansas 86-63 at Lexington, Ky.
Davis scored a career-high 27 points, pulled down 14 rebounds and blocked seven shots as the Wildcats (18-1, 4-0 SEC) won their 10th in a row.
Davis scored the final seven points of Kentucky’s 13-2 run, his three-point play with 14:14 left in the first half giving the Wildcats an early 11-point lead. Arkansas (13-5, 2-2 SEC) briefly pulled within nine points before Kentucky pulled away, building a 37-21 halftime advantage.
Davis’ big night paced five Wildcats in double figures. Terrence Jones finished with 13 points and nine rebounds. Marquis Teague finished with nine assists.
Mardracus Wade led the Razorbacks with 12 points. Arkansas lost for just the second time in its past 10 games.
The Wildcats host Alabama on Saturday. Arkansas steps out of conference play Saturday, hosting No. 19 Michigan.
