Boston College kept its flickering NCAA Tournament hopes alive with a 63-44 win at Virginia on Saturday.
Guard Reggie Jackson and forward Corey Raji broke out of shooting slumps with 25 and 17 points, respectively, as the Eagles improved to 17-11 overall, 7-7 in the ACC.
Raji drained five baskets, including two 3-pointers, in a 20-8 run to start the second half that put the Eagles up 51-36. Raji finished 7 of 10 from the field, Jackson 10 of 16.
Mustapha Farrakhan and Assane Sene each scored 10 for the Cavaliers (14-14, 5-9), who made just 4 of 21 3-pointers.
Boston College visits Virginia Tech, another bubble team, on Tuesday before closing the regular season March 6 against last-place Wake Forest.
