Levi Knutson had 18 points as Colorado overcame a second-half collapse to beat host Texas Tech 71-68 Wednesday night.
Marcus Relphorde added 15 points for the Buffaloes (17-11, 6-7 Big 12), while Alec Burks had 14 and Cory Higgins chipped in with 12. Higgins finished 3 for 11 from the field, but scored four points during a pivotal run late in the second half that preserved Colorado's third win in the last 10 games.
John Roberson had 18 points for the Red Raiders (12-16, 4-9), who have lost five of six. Team scoring leader Mike Singletary added 17 points off the bench after missing the previous three games with a bruised calf and a strained MCL.
Colorado fashioned a double-digit halftime lead and extended it to 13 before Texas Tech stormed back with a 19-3 run to jump ahead. The teams exchanged leads before Knutson put Colorado ahead for good with 3:56 remaining. Higgins followed with a long jumper and a pair of free throws to ice the win.
