Derwin Kitchen scored 16 points, and Florida State used a 22-8 run to turn a two-point halftime lead into a comfortable 67-51 victory over visiting Boston College on Saturday.
Florida State (15-5, 5-1 ACC) had four players score in double figures, and used its advantage in the post to pick up its fourth straight win. The Seminoles outscored Boston College 28-10 in the paint and held a 36-22 rebounding advantage.
Bernard James added 12 points and seven rebounds for the Seminoles, who shot 51 percent from the field. Kitchen also had seven rebounds and six assists. Florida State shot 61 percent from the field in the second half.
Joe Trapani had 19 points and 12 rebounds for Boston College (14-6, 4-2), which faces a tough test on the road against No. 5 Duke on Thursday.
