Jordan Taylor poured in a season-high 28 points as No. 17 Wisconsin overcame a sluggish start to beat visiting Indiana 69-60 Thursday night.
Taylor scored nine of the Badgers' 11 points during a pivotal second-half stretch after Wisconsin (14-4, 4-2 Big Ten) trailed for nearly the entire first half. His layup with 10:36 remaining gave the Badgers a one-point lead, and he capped the run with a pair of free throws that stretched the advantage to six.
The Hoosiers (10-9, 1-5) wouldn't challenge the rest of the way as Wisconsin won for the third time in four games. Thursday was the opener of a three-game stretch against unranked teams, with the Badgers facing Northwestern on Sunday and Penn State on Jan. 29.
Taylor was the difference as he shot 9 for 15 from the field with three 3-pointers. He added eight rebounds, four assists and two steals.
Jon Leuer added 20 points for the Badgers, who shot 49 percent from the field while making 16 of 17 free throws.
Jordan Hulls led the way with 16 points for Indiana, which led by eight points early but couldn't hold on as it fell for the sixth time in the past seven games. Verdell Jones III added 15 points and Christian Watford had 10.
