Colorado, which has won all 10 of its games in the Coors Events Center, stopped Missouri’s nine-game winning streak. The Tigers hadn’t lost since a 111-102 overtime defeat against Georgetown on Nov. 30. It was Colorado's fifth win in a row.
The Buffaloes (12-4 overall, 1-0 Big 12) didn’t dominate from the start. Missouri went up 15-11 in the first five minutes, but Colorado’s 11-0 run in the next two minutes gave the Buffaloes a 22-15 edge. Later in the half, with the score tied at 31-31, Colorado closed out with a 15-3 run to go up 46-34 at intermission.
Missouri (14-2, 0-1) was outrebounded 41-32 by Colorado. The Tigers had four players in double figures, led by Michael Dixon’s 17 points off the bench. Laurence Bowers had 15 points and nine rebounds, Marcus Denmon added 14 points and Ricardo Ratliffe had 11 points and seven boards.
