Jon Leuer led the way with 20 points and seven rebounds as Wisconsin and its suffocating defense crushed Milwaukee 61-40 Wednesday.
Jordan Taylor added 14 points, and Keaton Nankivil had 10 points and nine rebounds for the Badgers (8-2), who allowed only 12 made field goals and won the rebounding battle 36-17.
Leuer scored nine points in the first half as Wisconsin took control with a 19-6 run and enjoyed a 34-15 lead at the break.
Leuer’s dunk five minutes into the second half made it 46-19, and the Badgers coasted from there.
The Badgers, whose losses were to No. 19 UNLV and No. 23 Notre Dame, still haven't allowed a team more than 68 points. They head to Marquette this weekend before returning home for three games, ending with the Big Ten opener against No. 20 Minnesota.
The Panthers (4-6) have dropped four of their last five, and play four of the next five on the road.
