Peyton Siva and Terrence Jennings scored 14 points apiece as Louisville used a blistering second half to run away from San Francisco 61-35 Wednesday.
=Chris Smith added 11 points off the bench for the Cardinals (7-0), who forced 15 turnovers and held San Francisco to 31-percent shooting.
Louisville jumped out to a 12-2 lead in the opening minutes and had a 20-8 edge 10 minutes in before the Dons made their way back into the game, closing to within 25-24 going into the locker room.
There would be no letup after the break. The Cardinals opened on a 20-2 tear behind a pair of 3-pointers from Siva and some pressure defense. San Francisco snapped a nine-minute scoring drought when Justin Raffington converted a 3-point play, but Louisville took control right back with a 10-0 run to push it to 54-30 with five minutes left.
Michael Williams was the only player to reach double figures with 14 points for the Dons.
The Cardinals face their biggest test since a season-opening win over Butler when they host No. 19 UNLV Sunday.
