Heat 102, Wizards 72:
LeBron James had 23 points and 10 rebounds and host Miami avenged a recent defeat to Washington by rolling over the Wizards.

Dwyane Wade and Udonis Haslem scored 13 points apiece and Chris Bosh chipped in 12 as the Heat crushed the team that stunningly defeated them on Dec. 4.

Bradley Beal scored 19 points and Cartier Martin added 18 for Washington, which owns the NBA’s worst record at 3-18.

Miami wasted no time proving its intent to deliver a form of payback. The Heat led by 10 before the first quarter was halfway over and had a 23-7 edge after Shane Battier’s 3-pointer with 3:23 remaining. Washington pulled within 35-28 with five minutes left in the first half before Miami rebounded to take a 50-36 halftime lead.

The Heat picked up the assault in the third quarter, pushing the lead above 30 when a basket by Haslem made it 71-40 with 4:11 left in the quarter. The advantage was 33 entering the final quarter.

GAME NOTEBOOK: James has scored 20 or more points in all 21 games this season and the last 26 regular-season games overall. … F Nene (foot) missed the game for Washington, which continues to be without PG John Wall (knee), F Trevor Booker (knee), F Trevor Ariza (calf) and G A.J.
