DeMar DeRozan scored 28 points, Andrea Bargnani had 27 and Jose Calderon registered 16 assists for Toronto, which has lost seven straight to the Heat.

Wade scored 13 final-quarter points as Miami sidestepped a pesky comeback effort from the Raptors, who trailed by 14 in the opening minutes.

Toronto battled back to knot the score at 89 on a 3-pointer by James Johnson with nine minutes remaining before Miami responded with eight straight points, capped by Wade’s 3-pointer. The lead reached 105-93 on Wade’s basket with three minutes left.

Mario Chalmers added 14 points for Miami, which shot 57.1 percent from the field.

Amir Johnson had 12 points and 12 rebounds for the Raptors.

Miami scored the first 10 points and led 16-2 just 4 1/2 minutes into the contest. Toronto rallied back to trail just 31-27 at the end of the quarter and took its first lead at 41-39 on DeRozan’s basket midway through the second quarter. The Heat led 59-51 at halftime.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Bosh was playing in Toronto for the second time since leaving as a free agent. He had 25 points against the Raptors in his lone Toronto appearance last season … Calderon’s season-high for assists is 17 against the Washington Wizards on Feb. 3 … James had just seven assists over the previous two games … Johnson had nine points in 15 minutes off the bench in his return from an illness.
