Blake Griffin had 30 points and Eric Gordon added 29 in his return as the Los Angeles Clippers beat the visiting Cleveland Cavaliers 100-92 Saturday in a game initially delayed by a knife-wielding man.

The game began roughly 15 minutes late because a man ran onto the court about two hours before the scheduled start with a steak knife. The court was cleared of players and dancers and Staples Center was immediately locked down as Los Angeles police filled the court.

After about a 30-minute standoff, police apprehended him by firing guns containing beanbags. No one was hurt.

Gordon missed the last six games with a right wrist injury, but showed little rust once the game began as he sank 6 of 10 3-pointers for Los Angeles (27-43). Griffin followed with his first 30-point game since Feb. 11 – also against Cleveland. He added eight rebounds and eight assists.

J.J. Hickson had 28 points and nine rebounds, Ramon Sessions had 18 points and Samardo Samuels had 17 for the Cavs (13-55), who have dropped six of their last seven.
