Rhys Hoskins' solo home run in the 11th inning Sunday lifted the visiting Philadelphia Phillies to a 2-1 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates.

With a 1-1 tie and the Phillies facing Pirates reliever Chris Stratton (1-3) in the 11th, Bryce Harper struck out before Hoskins just cleared the fence in left field on a 1-2 pitch for his 21st homer.

Philadelphia reliever Ranger Suarez (3-0) pitched scoreless 10th and 11th innings.

Cesar Hernandez had an RBI single for the Phillies, who took two of three in the series.

Melky Cabrera had an RBI single for Pittsburgh, which is 2-7 since the All-Star break.

Each team had six hits.

Both starters went six innings, including returning after a rain delay, and left when it was tied 1-1.

Left-hander Drew Smyly, making his Phillies debut after his signing became official earlier in the day, allowed four hits, with eight strikeouts and two walks.

Pirates right-hander Dario Agrazal, making his fifth big league start, gave up three hits, with five strikeouts and two walks.

Pittsburgh took a 1-0 lead in the first. Kevin Newman led off with a double down the line in left. After Bryan Reynolds struck out, Starling Marte's fly out to center moved Newman to third. Josh Bell walked before Cabrera singled to left to drive in Newman.

In the fourth, Harper led off with a walk for Philadelphia and went to second on Hoskins' flyout to left. With Brad Miller at bat, there was a 25-minute rain delay.

Agrazal completed a strikeout of Miller after the delay before Hernandez singled home Harper for a 1-1 tie.

Phillies shortstop Jean Segura left the game in the middle of the fourth because of heel soreness.

There was a short interruption in the top of the sixth. With Miller batting, a man holding what was apparently a cell phone came onto the field and walked toward the plate as if to shake Miller's hand. The man was arrested and removed without resistance.
