Isaac Galloway hit a two-out, two-run single in the top of the 10th inning, and JT Riddle drove in four runs to lead the Miami Marlins to a 7-5 win over the host Washington Nationals on Saturday night.

Galloway, a 28-year-old rookie, went 1-for-3 with two walks.

Drew Steckenrider (4-2), who blew a save chance in the ninth, picked up the win. Brett Graves pitched a scoreless 10th to pick up his first career save as a pro.

Koda Glover (0-2), who allowed Galloway's hit, took the loss.

Miami snapped a six-game overall losing streak and a 12-game road losing skid.

Riddle, a second-year shortstop, stroked a score-tying double in the fifth and added a two-run single in the sixth that snapped a 2-2 stalemate. Riddle, who went 3-for-4, then turned on a 95 mph fastball in the ninth inning, pulling it to the upper deck in right field to give Miami a short-lived 5-4 lead.

In the first two games of this series, Riddle has five hits, pulling all five of them to right.

Riddle is so hot that Glover walked him intentionally in the 10th to get to Galloway.

Miami also was powered by Derek Dietrich, who blasted a solo home run to straightaway center field that was measured at 448 feet. It was his 15th homer of the season, and it also was his longest shot.

Trea Turner led Washington, going 2-for-5 with three RBIs. He hit a two-run homer in the third and an RBI single in the seventh.

The Marlins scored two unearned runs in the sixth to take a 4-2 lead. Jefry Rodriguez allowed consecutive singles to J.T. Realmuto and Brian Anderson to lead off the frame, causing Nationals manager Dave Martinez to go to his bullpen.

With one out, Starlin Castro hit a grounder to second baseman Daniel Murphy, who appeared ready to start an inning-ending double play. However, the ball kicked off Murphy's glove for an error. Two batters later, Riddle lined his single just over Murphy's head.

Washington, however, tied the score 4-4 with two runs in the seventh. The Nationals loaded the bases with none out on singles by Murphy and Adam Eaton and a hit by pitch to Matt Wieters. The Nationals then cashed in with a wild pitch from reliever Tayron Guerrero and an RBI single from Turner.

Riddle gave Miami a 5-4 lead with the solo homer in the top of the ninth, and Eaton matched him with a solo shot in the bottom of the frame, setting up Galloway's heroics.

Marlins starter Wei-Yin Chen allowed two runs on five hits in 5 2/3 innings, striking out three in a no-decision. Rodriguez gave up four runs (two earned) on five hits in five innings. He walked three, struck out three and also didn't factor in the decision.
