Twins 4, White Sox 3: Scott Diamond tossed 6 1/3 solid innings to record his first victory in nearly three months and Brian Dozier capped a three-run second with an RBI single as visiting Minnesota salvaged the finale of a three-game series.
Oswaldo Arcia, Chris Colabello and Eric Fryer also had run-scoring singles for the Twins, who snapped a five-game losing skid to Chicago with just their second win in eight outings overall.
Alejandro De Aza homered to lead off the fourth inning and Jordan Danks chased Diamond (6-11) by ripping a two-run single in the seventh to trim the White Sox's deficit to 4-3.
Diamond allowed three runs on five hits to improve to 3-0 versus Chicago this season while posting his first victory since June 20. Glen Perkins struck out a pair in the ninth inning for his 36th save while handing the White Sox their 16th loss in 20 outings.
With Minnesota leading 1-0, Colabello and Fryer singled to center to extend the advantage before Dozier capped the uprising against John Danks (4-14) by going up the middle to plate Eduardo Escobar and give the Twins a four-run lead.
