Braves 7, Giants 3: Jason Heyward drilled a three-run homer and Mike Minor allowed four hits in 6 2/3 innings as visiting Atlanta won for just the second time in eight games.

Michael Bourn had two RBIs and Minor scored twice as the Braves snapped San Francisco’s five-game winning streak.

Minor (7-10) was charged with three runs while winning for the first time since July 28. He struck out five and walked none.

Minor and Prado walked against Giants starter Madison Bumgarner (14-8) before Heyward lined a shot to right field that barely cleared the high wall at AT&T Park.

San Francisco scored a fifth-inning run on Brandon Belt’s infield out but Atlanta got the run back in the seventh when Minor laced a one-out double to deep right and scored on a single by Bourn that finished Bumgarner’s afternoon.

The Giants pulled within 4-3 in the bottom of the seventh when Gregor Blanco hit a two-run, pinch-hit double off Chad Durbin. Both runs were charged to Minor.

Atlanta scored twice in the eighth when Bourn and Prado drew back-to-back bases-loaded walks. Reed Johnson added a run-scoring double in the ninth.

Bumgarner tied a career high by issuing four walks in 6 1/3 innings. He allowed four runs and seven hits and struck out five.

GAME NOTEBOOK:
Atlanta placed RHP Ben Sheets (shoulder) on the disabled list and recalled RHP Miguel Batista from Triple-A Gwinnett. Sheets lost his third straight outing on Friday. … The homer by Heyward was only the second Bumgarner has allowed at home to a left-handed hitter in his three major-league seasons. The other was when Cincinnati’s Joey Votto took him deep in 2010, coincidentally also on Aug. 25. … Giants OF Francisco Peguero went 0-for-2 in his major-league debut. … Minor doubled in the seventh for just his second hit in 43 at-bats this season. … San Francisco OF Angel Pagan was hitless in four at-bats to snap an eight-game hitting streak.
