Braves 7, Cardinals 4: Tommy Hanson struck out nine in five-plus innings and Jason Heyward drove in three as visiting Atlanta completed a three-game sweep of St. Louis.

Martin Prado added two hits, an RBI and two runs scored and Dan Uggla chipped in an RBI and a run scored for the Braves.

Lance Lynn (6-1), who entered Sunday leading the majors in wins and ranked third in ERA, was charged with three runs on four hits and three walks in six innings. He struck out seven.

Hanson (4-3) did not last as long as his counterpart but got the better result, allowing only one run on five hits and three walks. The strikeouts helped the right-hander work around some of the base runners, with the lone run scoring on Carlos Beltran’s solo homer leading off the sixth.

It was the 13th homer for Beltran, pushing him into sole possession of first place in the National League.

Atlanta jumped on top in the third, when Heyward came up with the bases loaded and fouled off six pitches before ripping a double into the right field corner that cleared the bases. The Braves put it away with a three-run seventh, getting RBIs from Prado, Freddie Freeman and Uggla.

Allen Craig hit a three-run homer in the bottom of the ninth for St. Louis. Craig has five homers and 16 RBIs in just 10 games.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Braves scored all seven of their runs with two outs. … Atlanta 3B Chipper Jones, who is expected to retire after the season, was honored by the Cardinals before the game. He was given an autographed Stan Musial jersey and a signed photo from the team. He has received long ovations from the St. Louis fans all weekend. … The Cardinals activated Lance Berkman (calf) from the 15-day disabled list prior to the game and optioned OF Shane Robinson to Triple-A. Berkman went 1-for-5.
