Blue Jays 6, Phillies 2: Colby Rasmus homered and drove in three runs as host Toronto completed a three-game sweep of the struggling Phillies.

After the Blue Jays lost three starting pitchers to injuries in the past week, Brett Cecil (1-0) gave up two runs with five strikeouts in five innings in his season debut.

Rasmus and Kelly Johnson drove in runs in the first off Phillies starter Kyle Kendrick (2-7), who allowed six runs (five earned) over 6 1/3 innings.

Jim Thome belted his 100th homer as a member of the Phillies in the second inning, and John Mayberry Jr. tied the game at 2-all with a solo shot in the third, his second home run in as many games.

After Toronto moved ahead in the fifth on Rajai Davis’ RBI single, the Blue Jays drew clear on Rasmus’ two-run blast in the fifth.

Rasmus contributed to the Blue Jays’ run in the seventh when Jeff Mathis doubled and scored on Hunter Pence's error after Rasmus singled for his third hit of the game.

The Phillies, who were outscored 15-7 in the series, have lost 12 of their 15 games and went 3-6 on their second-longest road trip of the season.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Philadelphia was swept in an interleague series for the first time since 2009 against Baltimore. … Thome is one of only four players all-time to hit 100 home runs with three different teams. … Toronto slugger Jose Bautista has reached base in 17 consecutive games after going 0-for-3 with a walk on Sunday. …Phillies C Carlos Ruiz went 0-for-4 after missing Saturday’s game with an oblique strain.
