Tigers 7, Orioles 2: Jhonny Peralta hit a three-run homer for the second straight game to back seven stellar innings from Doug Fister as visiting Detroit extended its season-high winning streak to six games.

Fister (3-6) allowed one run on three hits and tied his season high with eight strikeouts to win for the first time in seven road starts and send Baltimore to its third straight defeat.

Miguel Cabrera swatted his 19th homer, a 454-foot blast, and Brennan Boesch had two hits and a two-run single to help the Tigers move three games over .500 for the first time since April 24.

Orioles starter Jason Hammel (8-6) lost his fourth consecutive start and left the game after injuring his right knee while facing the leadoff batter in the fourth. He allowed two runs on five hits.

The Tigers jumped on Hammel for two runs in the first inning on Boesch's bases-loaded single before teeing off on Baltimore's bullpen.

After Ryan Raburn delivered an RBI double in the fourth and Cabrera went deep in the fifth off Luis Ayala, Peralta hit his three-run shot off Dana Eveland for a 7-1 lead after five innings.

Nick Markakis, back in the lineup for the first time since May 29, and Matt Wieters had RBI doubles for the Orioles.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Tigers CF Austin Jackson extended his hitting streak to a career-high 16 games with a single to lead off the contest, tying Yankees 2B Robinson Cano for the longest active streak in the majors. ... Hammel, who had his right knee drained during the All-Star break, will be re-evaluated Saturday. ... The Tigers recalled 2B Danny Worth from Triple-A Toledo and sent down reliever Jose Ortega. ... The Orioles reached an agreement with RHP Kevin Gausman, the No. 4 pick in last month's draft, on a signing bonus worth $4.32 million. Gausman was 11-1 at Louisiana State last season as a sophomore.
