Angels 9, Orioles 7: Mike Trout drove in two runs, scored two runs and stole three bases as host Los Angeles outlasted Baltimore in a wild game.

Kendrys Morales recorded three hits and three RBIs and Howie Kenrick chipped in an RBI and two runs scored for the Angels, who overcame a 7-3 deficit with a five-run fourth inning.

The Orioles built up a 4-3 lead after the first two innings and started to pull away with a three-run homer by Matt Wieters in the fourth. But starter Jake Arrieta could not hold the edge as Los Angeles battled back with five runs in the bottom of the frame, highlighted by Morales’ go-ahead, two-run single off Luis Ayala (2-2).

Trout, who singled and stole second before scoring in the first and chipped in sacrifice flies in the second and fourth, used his speed to tack on a run in the sixth. The rookie All-Star led off with a walk, stole second, stole third and came home when Wieters’ throw sailed into left field.

Baltimore knocked Angels starter Garrett Richards around for seven runs and 10 hits, including three homers, but could not get to the bullpen.

Five relievers combined to allow one hit in 4 2/3 innings, with LaTroy Hawkins (2-1) picking up the win and Ernesto Frieri working the ninth for his 11th save.

GAME NOTEBOOK:
Trout finished 2-for-2 to raise his average to .348 and now has 26 steals in 29 attempts. … Frieri finished fifth in the balloting for the final All-Star spot and will not make the AL squad. … Angels RH Dan Haren (back) was placed on the disabled list for the first time in his career. … Orioles RH Jason Hammel finished third in the balloting for the final All-Star spot.
