Orioles 4, Mariners 2: Chris Tillman took a shutout into the ninth in his first major-league start of the season and Adam Jones hit his 20th home run as Baltimore beat host Seattle for the second straight day and earned its first series win at Safeco Field since July 6-8, 2009.

A day after Wei-Yin Chen took a perfect game into the seventh against it, the Mariners' offense again limped out of the gate. The 24-year-old Tillman (1-0) didn't allow a hit until Michael Saunders' single in the fourth and he did not allow another until John Jaso's double chased him with one out in the ninth.

Tillman struck out seven and walked two in 8 1/3 innings for his first big-league win since Aug. 6, 2011. He was charged with two runs that scored after Jim Johnson relieved him and recorded the final two outs for his 25th save.

The Orioles staked Tillman to a 1-0 lead on Jones' blast to left field in the second. They added two in the third on J.J. Hardy's RBI groundout and Chris Davis' run-scoring single.

Robert Andino, who hit the game-winning home run Tuesday, added an RBI single in the fifth. Andino also had a single in the third, giving him multiple hits for the first time since June 5.

All the damage was done against Seattle starter Hector Noesi (2-11), who allowed four runs on seven hits in five innings and lost his eighth straight decision.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Orioles won for just the third time in nine games. … Mariners C Jesus Montero went 0-for-1 and is hitless in his last 22 at-bats. … Orioles 1B Mark Reynolds went 2-for-4 for his first multi-hit game since June 14 against Pittsburgh.
