Left-hander Blake Snell pitched a perfect five innings before being removed, Michael Perez hit a two-run homer and Ji-Man Choi added a solo shot as the visiting Tampa Bay Rays defeated the Toronto Blue Jays 7-0 Friday night.

Snell (13-5) had six strikeouts without allowing a base runner before being replaced by right-hander Jake Faria to start the sixth.

Snell was making his second start since a stint on the disabled list with shoulder fatigue.

Joey Wendle had three RBIs with a sacrifice fly and a double for the Rays, who are 6-1 against the Blue Jays this season after taking the opener of a three-game series.

Willy Adames added three hits and a walk and scored three runs for the Rays.

Toronto starter Marco Estrada (5-9) allowed five runs, five hits, two walks and had six strikeouts in 5 1/3 innings.

Toronto's Justin Smoak was 0-for-4 to end a 13-game hitting streak, the longest of the season by the Blue Jays.

The Rays took a 2-0 lead in the third when Adames walked, and Perez hit his first career major league home run.

The Rays added two runs in the fifth. Adames doubled, Mallex Smith tripled and Wendle hit a sacrifice fly to left.

Choi led off the sixth inning with his fifth homer of the season. After Carlos Gomez struck out, Estrada was replaced by left-hander Thomas Pannone, who was making his major league debut.

The Blue Jays had their first base runner when Luke Maile led off the bottom of the sixth with an infield single against Faria. Randal Grichuk also singled in the sixth but was out trying for a double to end the inning.

The Rays scored twice in the seventh against Pannone. Adames and Perez singled and were sacrificed to second and third by Smith. Wendle hit a two-run double to bump the lead to 7-0.

Faria pitched around a leadoff walk to Kendrys Morales and a two-out single by Richard Urena in the bottom of the eighth.

Joe Biagini, who pitched a perfect top of the eighth, survived the ninth after allowing a double by Adames and hitting Wendle with a pitch.

Right-hander Jaime Schultz pitched a perfect bottom of the ninth for the Rays.
